Derpl Zork/Information

Back Story

Riding his combat walker onto the battlefield, comes Derpl Zork. The nephew of Blabl Zork, president of Zork industries. Derpl Zork lacks his uncle's business-smarts. In fact he lacks any kind of smarts, managing to get his IQ rated under the level of plankton in the official galaxial IQ test.

Nevertheless Derpl is the heir apparent to Blabl's galaxy-spanning business empire. This is something that doesn't sit well with Blabl, not well at all. Dreading the day Derpl would inherit the company and run all the hardfought accomplishments into the ground, Blabl put Derpl in charge of fieldtesting the new Specialized Universal Secretary Interface (S.U.S.I. for short) in one of Zork Industries' combat walkers. Asking Derpl what form of devastation should be issued forth from his vehicle of destruction he simply drooled and said: "I wuv cats!"

Now Blabl is anxiously awaiting the day that Derpl would suffer a fatal blow on the fields of battle but as of yet Derpl's combat walker has proven to keep making up for its dimwitted driver.

This skin gives the combat walker a much darker color scheme, with a skull for lights, and a "fire" paint job. The Cat Gun now has spikes around the team-colored area.

The cats now wear a helmet and goggles. The nuke is replaced with a large skull, and Snares have a much darker color with an 8-ball in the middle.

This DLC contains a custom skin for Derpl in Awesomenauts, and comes with a fully customized voice set! If you have not already unlocked the character, purchasing this DLC will do so. - Official Steam Store Description.

This skin gives Derpl's walker a darker, wooden hull, although the legs are unchanged. The lights in the front are replaced with a hatch, the cat gun is an old cannon and the gatling gun spinner is a ship helm. The walker also has a black pirate flag and a parrot who leaves a trail of feathers behind as Derpl moves. Upon sieging up, the hatch is replaced by a "mermaid Derpl" statue.

Cat shot is changed to a cat holding on to a cannon ball, nuke becomes a skull and crossbones with an eye patch and grid trap is made of ropes.

Being premium, the skin comes with new voice acting as well: S.U.S.I.'s speech being replaced by the talking parrot.

Trivia

• Coco and Derpl were the first new characters added to the game in an update. They were released simultaneously.
• Up until the addition of Professor Milton Yoolip, Derpl was the only Awesomenaut to have a known relative according to the game lore (Blabl Zork, the employer of the Awesomenauts).
• Arhpl was the first premium skin not to be voiced by the same voice actor as the default skin.
